I moved to Mount Pleasant, specifically the neighborhood of Commonwealth, with my husband Bobby, almost twenty years ago. We chose to move here from Laguna Hills, California to be closer to family and to get away from the overcrowded area of coastal Southern California. Mount Pleasant offered a perfect fit for us with the close proximity to a vibrant and historic downtown area as well as easy access to local beaches and water views. We started a family here in 2010 and grew to a family of five over the following five years. We now have three very busy boys at three different local schools, one each at Carolina Park Elementary, Cario Middle, and Wando High School.
I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bacher of Science degree in Psychology and went on to receive a Master of Forensic Science degree from National University in San Diego, CA. Aside from being a full-time mom for the last 15 years, I have a professional background in technology sales, investigations and real estate. I currently am a small woman owned business owner working in the areas of consulting and construction. In addition, I have worked part time as a neurofeedback technician for the last three years. To further support my desire to help others, I have served on the board of the Commonwealth Property Owners Association for the past six years. I have also volunteered over the years at Rein and Shine therapeutic riding center, as well as a volunteer soccer and flag football coach for my sons’ local teams.
When not working, parenting, volunteering (or newly campaigning), I enjoy doing anything outdoors. I have been an avid golfer since junior high. I enjoy playing all of the Mount Pleasant golf courses, my favorite being Charleston National. My family and I also spend a lot of time boating on the Wando River as well as exploring Capers, the intracoastal and Charleston Harbor. Usually stopping for a meal with a view somewhere along the water. I have also been riding horses since I was 9 years old and enjoyed owning a horse here in the low country for several years during the COVID pandemic, as a much-needed outlet. I still try to ride or get in some equestrian related activities as much as possible.
